The Western Kings Board of Trade is dedicated to excellence in business. As an active and vibrant organization, the Western Kings Board of Trade strives to meets the needs of its members by providing a host of membership benefits geared to enabling its members to realize growth and increased success in their business endeavors. The following provides a brief overview of the benefits available to your business as a member of the Board. 1. Networking and Promotional Opportunities for Your Business - Networking is one of the most important factors in business success. Expand your network of business contacts by becoming a member of the Western Kings Board of Trade and attending its many business and social functions such as quarterly meetings, Lunch & Learns and special events where you will benefit from the experience and knowledge of other successful businesses. Increased contacts mean increased business! 2. Advocacy is Working for a Healthy Business Environment - The Board of Trade is the “Voice of Business” for Western Kings County. We take a stand on local, regional and national issues that affect our members and the business community by giving active support to local businesses and lobbying for their benefit. The Western Kings Board of Trade has partnered with the Town of Berwick in the development of the Economic Development Advisory Committee. This Committee, comprised of business and industry representatives, as well as members of local government and the community, is tasked with the mandate of developing a sustainable economic development strategy. This strategy will identify opportunities and encourage specific initiatives to enhance economic growth and the positive image of the Western Kings business community. As a member of the Western Kings Board of Trade, your business will be part of the network involved in an open and consultative process to provide input on initiatives and issues being addressed. 3. Members will automatically be listed on the Board’s website with the opportunity for direct links to your business’ website.
